Request to Retest Policy
My goal is for your child to master the material in math. To help with that, I offer test corrections on most graded papers with grades below 80. Papers are taken home and corrections made on a separate sheet showing not only the correction, but a statement explaining why the mistake was made. These are turned in by Friday the week the paper goes home in Wednesday folders. Typically, I will give half credit back for each corrected problem. I only give credit back for completely missed problems.

Homework
Students are encouraged to use their agenda books to record daily assignments. Homework should be complete and with the student in class. Please help students by reminding them to put homework in their backpacks as soon as they complete it. Math homework should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. If your child is struggling to complete his/her homework, I need to know! After 20 minutes please have your child stop and write me a note on his/her homework. Students should bring home their interactive notebooks to help with their homework. There are many useful sites on the Internet that offer homework help or tutorials on the skills being taught in class.
